MedStar Health: Urgent Care at La Plata

My doctor requested that I have a certain test performed very quickly. I contacted MedStar Health and confirmed they could do the test. In less than an hour, I was in the office and had the test completed. The staff was friendly and professional and ensured all my concerns were addressed. I was very pleased with the facility and its work.

Very long wait time. The nurse took my vital, and left me wait for 45mins for a doctor to take a look at me. Doctor took covid and flu test, and I was left to wait another 50mins. They couldn’t let me go home and call me with the result or anything that would ease me as a patient that was ill.

Great front office staff. Helpful with navigating the forms. Medical staff were great and helpful too. Had questions they had already answered I am sure but took the time to bring back again and explain it one more time. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience at this urgent care! The staff was friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. Stephanie made the check-in process quick and easy, and I didn’t have to wait long to be seen. Paris was my MA and took great care of me providing me with water when I needed it. Taylor was my Radiology Tech and was very gentle. Dr. Benson took the time to listen to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood my treatment plan before I left. The facility was also very clean and well-organized. I really appreciated how efficient yet caring everyone was — it made a stressful situation much easier. Highly recommend this urgent care for anyone who needs prompt and compassionate care!

I was seen in a timely fashion. The staff was very attentive and polite. We got to the bottom of my respiratory discomfort and was alleviated with an in-office treatment and prescribed meds all under an hour. I've been to this location several times and I'm always treated with the same care and concern.
