McLeod Dillon Hospital & ER

I waited for hours in the waiting room, I went to the check-in window twice to find out why I was waiting so long. The first time I went up there they said I had to wait for a bed. The second time I went up there I was told that I was taking off the board because they called me twice and got no answer from me. I didn't hear anybody call me. But keeping an eye on the door waiting to hear my name they stood in the doorway instead of coming out near the entrance door to call the patient's name. I feel like that would be a good protocol for them to follow, so that the name could be heard across the whole waiting area. The nurse taking care of me was very sweet kind and empathetic. I saw the doctor once while I was in the bed. And once when he came in to tell me that I was being discharged. He

Registration, Danita, Beth, Taylor, LaToyia, mr. Alan in dietary, ultrasound tech and doctors! I remember their names and positions by the levels and amounts of care and treatment provided to me and for me! One of the most important things to do in emergency situations is, if you're able, give as much honesty to your team as possible so the situation can be addressed. If you're not sure of things, just ASK questions! A medical history and family history goes much further than you think, as well as most recent history. I was admitted promptly and given GREAT care by the entire staff and team that recognized what I needed!!!!

Edit 1/5/2026 I will not come here again even if my bone is sticking out of my limb. I would probably get a staph infection or sepsis anyway. I had the unfortunateness of having to go back to this ER as every urgent care in Dillon is closed around the time I get off work. With my prior visit in mind, I had hopes that I wouldn’t be there very long. I was dead wrong. I arrived around 10:30 to 11 PM and did not receive care until 1 AM. I sat in a waiting room with a woman who played everything under the sun, as well as a very what I would consider personal phone call at full speaker volume, with one of the most splitting migraines I’ve had in my life. When asked if she could turn it down or turn it off, another lady began shouting from the other end of the lobby trying to get the attention

I cannot even begin to say how amazing Dr. Hamidi and his nurse Taylor are! My friend was going through a very tough time and the compassion that was shown to her and to myself was just unforgettable. Dr. Hamidi was truly the kindest doctor i have ever met. He spoke to us like friends. His kind heart and caring soul shine very brightly. Taylor also made us feel very comfortable and even had us laughing. These two should be highly recognized the work they do!

The staff was very competent, experienced and showed care and kindness. My welfare was their upmost concern in treating my condition. I was released healthier with information to continue on my journey for complete healing of my condition. I highly recommend this hospital to Care for your health needs.
