The CNAs and most nursing seem nice and caring. But we’ve never met the doctor and it seems quite hard to reach him. As far as care/rehabilitation plans? They seem non existent. Family member had a stroke. He’s been sitting in the room with no type of speech therapy, physical therapy not even any messages. He is slowing regaining strength on his right but due to him just laying there, his muscles have become so stiff we can’t even assist him opening his hand. What kind of facility doesn’t do anything??? Before we have seen him almost lift his arm. Now he can’t even do that. Thanks Maplewood

I originally selected this particular facility for my mother due to the fact that I work in a local emergency department and patients from this facility seemed to be generally well taken care of. Unfortunately I was gravely mistaken, while the therapists seem very friendly and helpful. The aides are a completely different story they are incredibly rude and seem almost mad that they are asked to help the residents and do as little as possible. They can be heard talking very loudly in the hallways and one could be heard walking up and down the hallway coughing. Then there's the non-existent housekeeping my mom had an accident in the bathroom and wanted to have it cleaned before she used it again. She told me about the state of the bathroom at 9:55 a.m. when I arrived almost 1 hour later the

Speaking as a seasoned, experienced care giver for my father who has been in at least 20 rehab facilities over these past few years, I can honestly say this is THE BEST he has ever been in. We've been in places from Brookfield to oak creek and every where in between. He has left at least 3 places in an ambulance back to ER. He has been sent home from 4 only to be so ill within a day to have to call ambulance and taken to ER. And one of the latest I had to get him transferred from one to another ASAP because it was so awful. And I can say NEVER send your loved one to Ignite. That place is pure trash and should be shut down ASAP But anyway, this place is a Godsend. The staff, every single person, is wonderful! The place is older but very clean. It is quiet! They take very good care of my dad. Very nice to me. They always update me on my dad to. Awesome people.

Terrible care for my mother. Was there for rehab and needed a lot of care. Third shift nursing ignored calls, told mother to shut up and stop screaming, tried forceful feeding, and very rude. Mom fell out of bed. Was found hours later! Do not take you loved one here. They use agencies for staffing. Inexperience and lack of compassion. Do research and don’t take social worker’s suggestion of leaving hospital. One good thing was administrators. They did take complaints seriously and entire care was over new years weekend but no excuse for poor care. My mother is still scared to be in a facility.
