I love Dr Hunter and her staff. I honestly don’t understand why certain people have given them negative reviews. I have been a patient for over 3 years. I have never had a long wait time to be called to the back. She doesn’t ignore or disregard any of my issues. She has been very knowledgeable and helpful with my pain issues. She always patiently listens to my concerns & answers any questions that I have. (And this has been an issue for me with other pain doctors that wouldn’t even PRETEND to listen to my issues & concerns.) As for other reviewers stating that she just ‘throws pills at people & keep increasing the dosage’…… & that patients are ‘drooling in the waiting room’ ….. I honestly don’t believe them. Dr. Hunter has been one of the most thorough doctor's I've encountered about my condition. She answered the hard questions, and is very relatable and easy to talk to. Her staff is as phenomenal as she is. Patient care should always be priority, and that has been my experience with her. I absolutely love Dr Hunter, I appreciate her professionalism and skilled care.

My first visit was awesome, wasn't there long and Dr. Hunter was pretty nice. However as I continued to go there month after month the staff seems to be less friendly, Dr. Hunter rarely seen me at all. At my last visit the new assistant said I rolled my head at her when she told me that the MRI showed no results and that my medication wasn't going to be changed. So they decided to make me wait for over 3 hours in a room at which time I confronted them and had a huge confrontation with Dr. Hunter, her assistant and the Director of Operations, Lasonya Morris. Ms. Morris came into the room and was very loud and very rude and insisted that I would wait until Dr. Hunter decided to see me after I had been there since 10:00am and it was after 3:00pm. My first vist to see Dr. Hunter was very thorough and the staff was very polite . When I went to the pharmacy I ran into a problem with my insurance and a PA was required and the nursing staff (Roosevelt/Stephen) took care of it in a timely matter and informed me with every step of the process.. Very pleased with the staff at Dr. Hunter's Office:)

This place is a joke!!!! If I could rate it a zero, I most definitely would! My first impression was horrible and I most definitely should have gone with my gut on this one! There were patients drooling on themselves in the waiting room! They were obviously over medicated! The doctor or nurse would NOT allow me to go in the back with my husband. Ridiculous!!!! There was always a two or more hour wait! Please check into the pain specialist you will be seeing! Gather all information you can on them if you are truly seeking relief and not just to have pills thrown at you!!!! Do your research on the medications you are given and if you are looking for a specialist that isn't just going to keep throwing medications at you, this is NOT the person to see!!!!!
