Lehigh Valley Hospital–Dickson City

I just had my hernia surgery at the new Dickson city LVHN hospital. All I can say is… WOW! And THANK YOU. Every staff member my fiance and I encountered had a smile on their face. And not one of those smiles they wipe off their face soon as they walk around the corner. The staff members were genuinely happy, and with that their service was incredible. Incredibly friendly, professional and kind. From the receptionist to the nurses to anesthesiologist all the way to Dr McGuire. Kept me comfortable and happy, and even took my jokes and sarcasm quite well. I feel like I was in good hands. Many thanks (:

Very poorly run hospital. Watched them leave a child bleeding from his head in the waiting room for 3 hours . Doctors are very inept & quick to toss easy diagnostic out after they leave you sit for hours with no attendance. Bedside manner seems to be something that was lost decades ago. Better off going to see a holistic doctor then wasting your time dying in the waiting room at this place .

Place is very nice all the staff was great got my friend in very quick late at night even after the recent fire in the orthopedic wing that I have personally been to a few times that was very nice also (used to be). Just be aware that this ER is not a level ll trama center so if you have something super serious like a compound fracture or bullet hole it would be best to go to geisinger Scranton as they are a level ll center

I recently visited the Emergency Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Dickson City due to ongoing dizziness, lightheadedness, and shortness of breath. I was directed by the on-call provider from the Wright Center to go to the Emergency Department. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing and left me feeling dismissed rather than cared for. Upon arrival, I explained that I had recently been discharged from Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre (GSWB) but was unable to return there because it is approximately thirty minutes away, and I did not have access to a vehicle at the time. Lehigh Valley Hospital–Dickson City was the nearest and most accessible facility at the time of my symptoms. Despite explaining this, the attending physician questioned why I had not gone back to GSWB, and he did

My husband was brought in to the er in critical condition. The care, compassion and empathy shown to myself and our family was above and beyond. Dr.James and nurse Rachel were wonderful in a awful situation. I will be forever thankful to them.
