Layne's Family Pharmacy

It's something about a family owed business that I 1000% love and feel to be a classic backbone of the US! It's important to me to know where my money is going as well as the relationships you develop with the staff & owners. Currently, i do not have health insurance, and while my meds are not cheap, Layne's family pharmacy makes the process as simple as possible for me. I couldn't possibly ask for a nicer, more knowledgeable pharmacist than Keith if my life depended on it. Infact id say the entire staff is top-notch all the way!Layne's is such a wonderful place to conduct your medicine purchases while visiting with well-made friends. Nothing but a true blessing to our community. When big box drugs stores are grabbing college grads and they quite within a year. It is wonderful to call get advise from a real human with a ton of experience like the Layne brothers. Layne's not only serves Eden but to those of us in Danville, VA when our big box cannot find anyone - Thank you for your service to our region!!

I've been here 10 years. It's been great until this year. I call in refills 3 days before I run out, and sometimes it takes 2 weeks to get my medicine. I've been getting sick every month from missed medication. I tried to transfer last week to another pharmacy, and they called and said Layne's wouldn't transfer cause I owed $180. I've never been told about a bill, and I receive Medicare and Medicaid. So why do I owe that much and for what? I was paying $4 for my Claritin each month, and I have to pay for cough medication if I get any. I haven't paid the $4 in about 4 to 6 months, so I figured my insurance was paying. Then I get, "they won't transfer cause you owe $180." Where did that come from? Maricella was very rude to me twice when I spoke with her about my medication. She just kept s

One of the worst customer service pharmacies around. I found it extremely difficult to get answers to questions about not being able to use my flexible benefits card, and then they tell me I need prior authorization from the insurance company on a med I've been taking for almost 6 months. Ridiculous. And now I've just been told that they're still not able to use my flexible benefits card for my prescriptions. Does anyone at this poor excuse for a pharmacy get it? If you're having problems with your new system, you do whatever you need to do to get it fixed. I'm so over all the excuses. I'll be changing my pharmacy.

My experience with Ashley was remarkable!!!! She over above and beyond to help me with getting a prescription for my son. She showed that she cared in many different ways. She really helped me and if it was not for her my son would not have a prescription. I will be changing from Walgreens to Layne's family pharmacy for my family. Thank you so much Ashley for the best customer service. Ashley deserves a raise this is the best experience I have had since living in Eden!!!!
