We went to see my father in law and we were not impressed! First, papa needed his blood sugar checked before he could eat and no one came for over 45 minutes and the man was starving. When I went to find the person to do it, the lady taking a picture of papa in the room got loud and huffy with me but she did go find the nurse. One nurse tried to trade out jobs with photo lady and had to be told no because that wasn't her job and that she was busy. Photo lady finally had to go find the right nurse. When she finally came, she was not happy, she was dripping sweat, and had no gloves on. By time papa got to eat, we discovered that his chicken was blood red raw! Not pink but bright red blood! My mother had a short stay at Larkspur. The staff was attentive and compassionate. My mother enjoyed visiting with them and participating in activities. Therapy was patient and worked diligently to help her gain her strength. I would recommend anyone to go to Larkspur. Thank you Larkspur staff for making my mother feel at home.

BE ADVISED PRIOR TO PLACING YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY. Although the facility presents an aesthetically pleasing appearance, several critical aspects are deficient. Patient care falls short of anticipated standards. Nursing staff and assistants often appear reluctant to engage with patients, displaying eagerness to exit rooms and avoid requests. The nurses are too busy sitting behind the desk on their phone when you walk up to ask them something they hide their phone. This is unacceptable in a workplace Housekeeping services are sloppy , utilizing dirty mops and failing to adequately clean bathroom floors, resulting in sticky surfaces. Rooms often harbor unpleasant odors, which are superficially masked by fragrances sprayed in hallways. The head of nursing rarely ventures out of her

I would recommend checking on your loved ones with this facility. Some of the nurses are not very nice to their residents, I've had to constantly complain about the sanitation of my mother's well being and the carelessness of certain employees. I just would not recommend this place. The rumors are pretty true. I've had to address the head nurses about these situations more than once and over all was not satisfied with her stay.
