Best dentist visit in my life! Greeted with kindness from the moment you walk in the door. The office is located in an older, yet very well kept plantation era house. The exam room is clean and free of clutter. Dr. Ken is efficient and very easy to communicate with. I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience.

Ecstatic to find this new dentist for my grandma and I! I've gone through several different dentists (primarily in kona) since my previous one retired, to find that Dr. Yamashiro is the one for me! He has great ethics which I appreciate! He doesn't believe in drilling into teeth if there is no need for it. Dr. Yamashiro seems to make time for his patients as we only had to wait a couple of weeks to get an appointment! Once we did get an appointment he mades sure to have ample time to give us the best service possible! He was even particular on his xrays as he tries to get the most optimal angle to be sure that all of your teeth check out! He also doesnt price gouge. Dental emergency for my son but his dentist was out on vacation. This is the only place that was able to see us in such a short notice. Went in and within minutes, Dr. Yamashiro and his staff started on my son while I filled out the paperwork. Problem was fixed a short time later with a happy customer. Dr. Yamashiro and his staff are very kind and friendly. They will also let you into the treatment room with your kid if you want to. Thank you Dr. Yamashiro and your Staff!

I scheduled a cleaning and a regular checkup. The care was great and everyone was extremely friendly. Dr. Yamashiro really knows his stuff and made me feel like family. They even open on Saturdays, which is very convenient! I would (and have) recommended him to everyone!

One of the best dentist in Hilo. I and my family have been going to him for 13 years. He is very gentle and has lots of Aloha. The staff is friendly and very helpful. If you are new to Hilo or looking for a new dentist please check this practice out. Support local businesses it really does matter.
