Joel Hurt, MD - Austin Orthopedic Institute

Dr. Joel Hurt performed a right knee transplant for me 2 weeks ago. From the initial consult through my first followup visit today Dr. Joel was extremely detailed in all phases this surgery. I was totally prepared for it. The day of surgery was as easy as it gets. I was walking the same day. Recovery has been less intense than I thought (don't get me wrong, alot depends of what you the patient does during recovery). I am extremely pleased with every aspect of this process and will absolutely have Dr Joel Hurt do my left knee. He has a great personality, takes an interest that exceeds expectations and demonstrates an experience that gives me nothing but confidence this will all be as successful as I had hoped. An added benefit is that he has surrounded himself with a great staff. Dami

Total knee replacement 12 weeks ago. Surgery went great, very responsive staff, knee is doing well. Followed up today, experienced a very short wait, the PA took time to answer all my questions, and was reassuring but still challenged me. Highly recommend Dr Hurt and his team.

The staff made the process seamless and stress-free. Upon arriving, I was warmly greeted by John, who checked me in with a friendly smile and efficiency. The medical team was equally impressive. What I can comment on it the surgery and post op. status. Just had my 2 weeks checkup after total knee replacement surgery. It had been great. Up and about, walking, running errands, driving. Not always normal but my experience has been fantastic. Dr Hurt has been great and clearly the outcome so far has been exceptional.
