Ideal Dental Schertz

Had my first experience with ideal dental today & it went great. Their friendly staff made me feel extremely comfortable and the doctor working made time to give me a small filling I needed so that I did not have to make another trip. I could hear him in other rooms giving patients tips for better hygiene while still complimenting their progress. I, personally, would take that over a dentist making me feel small any day!

Everything was awesome! Jasmine and Pam do a great job and I was super happy with Dr. Kreidel. He’s one of the best dentists I’ve had at Ideal Dental. Images and cleaning done in a flash. Highly recommend !

First visit, the 2 other ladies there were very friendly and made me feel welcomed, until Dr Kreidel came in. He was extremely disrespectful to me and about my situation. I have epilepsy, had a seizure a few weeks ago that broke my tooth, he told me it wasn't that but tooth decay. Tooth decay did weaken the tooth BUT THE SEIZURE IS WHAT MADE IT BREAK. He said "this doesn't happen overnight" and yes, I very well know that when it comes to decay, but the broken tooth did quite literally happen in the span of 20-30 minutes. You know, I was there, I'd know. He shamed me for the state my teeth were overall in assuming I haven't been taking care of them when I've made it habit to brush and floss my teeth for the past few years. I have came here for a year plus and im finally done. Doctor recommended a specialized cleaning and i went ahead with it based on thier recommendation. Even paid for all the extra BS and kept up with thier recommended maintenance. He did the cleanings then a year later their new hygienist said it got worse. This is beyond ridiculous because now this just says that the doctor who did the previous cleanings DID NOT DO A GOOD ENOUGH JOB. I They wouldnt even let me just do the things that are covered by my insurance its either 1000 dollars or nothing. Find someone else yall!

I’ll honestly say this dental company isn’t my first pick. I’ve been so busy I haven’t been able to find another dental office but, I believe it’s time. They aren’t even open on Mondays anymore and the office didn’t have the common courtesy to let me know. Instead they sent an email and text to confirm my appointment. Now let me would have missed my appointment I would have been charged. Then another thing is they just seem money hungry. They try to charge you for everything. The dentist comes and checks your teeth and says they’re fine. Then the person that comes to clean your teeth say you need a deep cleaning. Nobody is on the same page and their forever changing dentist here. That’s a red flag!
