Successful adoption of “Fargo”, kitty that once lived at Key Largo- Wells Fargo. Thank you everyone at this location for allowing my adult daughter to adopt him with parental permission. Thank you to Dr. Clifford Glade (The Animal Hospital Of Islamorada) and Keys Kritters as references for adoption. Staff takes pride in fulfilling proper adoption for each individual pet. Meticulous adoption process to secure a forever home. They provided veterinarian intervention documentation verbally. Once application was fully submitted, they provided written documents. Cash donation required. Extremely satisfied with service. Strongly recommend adoption from here or Humane Society of Key Largo!!

We were surprised at the amount of effort this shelter goes through, to ensure the animals end up in a favorable environment for them. Most of the animals that arrived at a shelter are the result of human’s neglect ( for different circumstances) but all animals are already traumatized. Yes! They are making sure they don’t end back in a dire situation. We adopted a 10 year old dog that came from a horrible environment of neglect and abuse. Our pets are family, and we were very happy with the adoption process. We are very happy, that Marsha and the rest of the staff make sure who adopts the fur babies! Thank you for doing a great job!👏

Tried to surrender a dog I found in KEY LARGO. the lady said because he’s a pitbull he has to be a Miami dade dog(he was found in the keys) and that only thing I could do was bring him in to be euthanized because he’s a “dangerous breed” and because he’s a Miami dade dog. Not sure how just because of a breed he’s a Miami dade dog when quite literally I know people in key largo with pitbull as he is the most friendly dog I’ve met friendlier than my dogs. Lady over the phone is extremely rude has no business working in such a fragile field. She should be ashamed of herself.

I recently adopted a dog here that has turned out to be one of the best dogs I've ever had. I adopted another dog here who passed away last year, this shelter is amazing. I wouldn't go anywhere else before stopping here first!! The staff really cares about the animals here. My dog has turned out to be not as hyper and high maintenance as previously thought. She is super chill, loves to be outside, loves going sailing on our sailboat and loves going for car rides. She is very smart and hasn't tried running once (was told she was a runner). So I would def without a doubt give one of their animals a chance. The staff is absolutely amazing!!!

This place is great. The people & cleanliness. So kind. I recently had to say goodbye to my 18 year old cat. They helped me. I didn't even know they did that service. I also adopted a baby kitty a year ago from them. Great team Great mission 🐱🐈‍⬛🐈🐶🐕
