This is my first time ever to review a physician, but I feel compelled to share my experience. Dr. Merzel’s office scheduled an appointment for me to meet with him prior to my endoscopy and colonoscopy. I was a new patient. When I arrived I met with his assistant a nurse practitioner. My procedures were on 7/26 which was my first time meeting him. He spoke to me for a total of 5 minutes. The procedures went fine. I was told that I would get a letter, out lining the results and any follow up, in 10 days. I called after 2 weeks, after 4 weeks and again after 6 weeks, each time his staff said my file was on his desk. I’ve been a patient of Dr Merzel’s for many years. He has always been professional and is very easy to talk to! I have never felt uncomfortable discussing anything with him and am confident in his diagnosis and treatment!

My wife saw Dr Merzel for a upper endoscopy and a colonoscopy. Dr Merzel was personable and explained everything afterwords really well. He had a great personality and a sense of humor. He was great to work with and I’ll be calling the office to book an appointment for myself when I need to have any of this stuff done. Quick and efficient

STAY AWAY!!!! This office and doctor are a joke!!! The receptionist is the rudest person I’ve ever come in contact with, especially in a medical office. She apparently thought she was a doctor and was ignorant enough to try and tell me what to do about a medication decision. Then there’s the all mighty garbage of a doctor himself. Has no genuine concern about you as his patient and honestly he should just retire if he hates his job so much. I strongly recommend not going to this doctor!!! They will push values on you that you may not believe in and are absolutely, 100% unprofessional!!

Absolutely horrible patient care. The doctors in the office couldn’t care less about your suffering as long as they are getting paid. Won’t spend more than 3 seconds on you and you’ll get a call 20 minutes before your appointment for a second opinion with the other doctor in office, that they are refusing to see you because the other doctor said everything was normal and they “weren’t wasting their time” absolutely recommend staying as far away from this place as possible. 0 stars.
