Although this is an emergency hospital, the patient has been waiting in bed for more than four hours without being examined by a doctor. During this time, several doctors appeared to be engaged in personal conversations instead of attending to patients. Additionally, some nurses and staff seemed to be occupied with eating, personal grooming, and talking on their phones rather than providing medical care. This situation is very concerning, as patients in an emergency department require timely attention and proper medical care. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and addressed to ensure that all patients receive the care and attention they deserve. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

I have been hospitalized at HonorHealth Deer Valley since December 31, and today is January 5. This is an updated review after being here multiple days following back surgery, and I can confidently say this hospital is not a good hospital. I am in severe, constant pain, consistently rating it a 9 out of 10, and my pain is repeatedly dismissed. I am prescribed two pain medications, but they change the medication schedule without telling you. My meds were originally due every three hours, and then they were changed to every five hours with zero communication. No explanation, no discussion — just more pain and confusion, leaving patients completely in the dark. On top of that, they treat a muscle relaxer that I’ve been on for over three years like it’s some extreme or dangerous medication.

The way pain management is handled here is absolutely unacceptable. I am supposedly prescribed TWO pain medications, yet they have been dismissed, delayed, or flat-out ignored every single time. I shouldn’t have to fight this hard for medication that was already ordered. I am also a 10-year stroke survivor, which makes this even more frustrating and dangerous. Instead of taking that seriously, most of the doctors and staff act dismissive and irritated, like my pain is an inconvenience to them. I stayed in observational unit 2-107 and was very well cared for. Shout out to my nurses Dawn, Sydney, Jon, Kyle, Grace, Courtney, Kai, Jane and others. My doctors were very helpful also; Dr. Wong, Dr. Hong Cui, and Dr. Psalter. There were other staff members that added to my experience and deserve recognition and since I was delirious when I was first taken in, I can’t remember or spell all their names correctly but nonetheless they’re care to me is still very much appreciated. The staff was very helpful, kind, patient and in my opinion saved my life.

This was my first time at Honor Health Deer Valley. Had an outpatient procedure today and just want to say the level of care I received was outstanding. Everyone was very attentive and professional. They all work together to ensure top notch patient care. Everyone made me feel like I mattered. I never once had to wonder what the next step was.
