Heywood Rehab/Audiology

My experience with Heywood Rehab/Audiology has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Following my knee surgery, I had to call multiple times (at least five) just to be scheduled for physical therapy, despite my doctor providing clear and direct instructions. The level of disorganization was evident from the start. The front desk staff consistently came across as dismissive and rude, which is unacceptable in a healthcare setting where patients are already vulnerable and in need of support. Communication and documentation also appear to be severely lacking. On more than one occasion, I called to cancel or confirm appointments, only to find that nothing had been properly logged. Even more concerning, appointments that were previously scheduled and confirmed were moved or canceled

Jennifer Curtis is hands down the best Physical Therapist. I can’t say enough great things about her. Highly recommend!

I’ve never seen a more unorganized or unprofessional office. I’m sitting in the waiting room for my appointment and they tell me 11 minutes later we need to reschedule. I had an hour long appointment and was less than 10 minutes late and already confirmed with the provider it would be okay due to distance and transportation. The receptionist proceeded to lie about the providers next appointment time. Stating she had A patient coming in. Said patient didn’t come in until after my appointment time. Look for a different office that is actually organized and not all over the place. I’d highly recommend that the office either find new reception, train reception better, or everyone in this office needs better communication skills.

I had a completely fantastic experience here. By my second visit, they had my whole schedule ready that I could give to my boss for her to work around. I went for severe back pain that totally immobilized me somedays, my evaluator found my hip was unaligned and causing that pain. She was amazing, explaining everything so well with a passion, slowing down for me if I needed her to. I was seen twice a week for eight weeks, my therapist keeping me motivated with exercises and not letting me be lazy about it! I will hear "tight tummy!!" in my sleep for a long time but she was absolutely fantastic and I NEEDED that push! I give it 3 Stars only because I did have 1 physical therapist that was awesome but reception seems to be miserable. If you hate your job so much that you lack all empathy or emotion then find another job! Why do people stay where they are miserable and then take it out on the patients and customers? As reception you are the first interaction of your workplace, you set the tone for the whole practice. Lose the rudeness.
