Heywood Hospital

Within the past 6 months I have had 2 hip replacement surgeries out of Heywood Hospital. I can honestly say that if I have to be sent for any additional surgeries later on, I will be first going through Heywood Hospital. I honestly have never felt welcomed more by a facility by all of its staff that are helping you to get better. My journey started at Heywood Orthopedics and received nothing but top notch evaluation and care from their entire staff and that carried over to the Hospital where every individual I dealt with was a blessing to their when it was time for my surgical appointments. I was treated as a person and never as a number. The level of care as mine required overnight stays was met with staff that was vigilant and making sure I was comfortable. My mother collapse while still being awake, when we got to the hospital it took them 20 mins to get a room (which wasn't bad) but they took 3 hours to do 2 scans and told us 0 information! I had my own experience a few years before and it took them a similar amount of time.

This 5 star review is strictly for the overnight staff who saved my life in the very early a.m. hours of January 27, 2026. I had shortness of breath for quite some time but did not want to go to the ER as I have always been physically and verbally abused. So I waited until I felt I might lose consciousness so as to call an ambulance during a time when it would not be like a war zone. When I arrived it was very quiet and that gave me comfort. I was treated expediently for Influenza A with a diagnosis of Acute Respiratory Failure with Hypoxia. My O2 stats remained low and so the doctor wanted me admitted. He said I would get a room by late morning. That never happened. By late morning the place was like a war zone, I hadn't been monitored or checked on in hours as they were busy with other e

Terrible hospital. I was transported here by ambulance after a dirt bike crash. I injured several body parts including my shoulder, knee and toes. I was told my shoulder and knee were aggravated muscles. Went to a different hospital a few days later because I was still in an incredible amount of pain. Well I ended up having a broken shoulder and torn acl in my knee which both required surgery. The staff at heyeood completely misdiagnosed me and mistreated me

Brought my 6 year here today and I wish I could post pics but I will on social media but what an absolutely disgusting hospital. The room we were brought into wasn't even cleaned.a small Bloody gauze pad next to his bed and 6 other items with unknown stains on them through the room. Never again will we be back here and definitely reporting to the state!!
