Gracedale Nursing Home

Our family's experience with Gracedale Nursing Home was nothing short of exceptional. My father required short term rehab following a hospital stay and chose to go to Gracedale. I was apprehensive due to the negative perception that has long been associated with Gracedale. However, the entire team at this facility quickly eased all our concerns. The level of nursing care and compassion shown by the staff was truly outstanding. The staff and nurses (especially Nurse Katrina and the entire SW-1 team) treat the residents with dignity, patience, and genuine warmth. They were always responsive to any questions we had. This place needs to be closed down immediately. State and news media just asked the formal and now employees about how scheduleing management treats the staff. Shut it down. They don't want to pass waters to residents some nurses refuse you to pass waters. It's a lot that needs to be looked into at this facility.

I’m not sure why Grace still doesn’t have a higher rating, maybe it’s because people just like to complain. But my older brother has been there for rehab after becoming a double amputee. And sadly, his condition has seriously turned and now we’re looking at his last days. He’s on the eighth floor and the staff there are absolutely wonderful. They’re kind and caring and they call me constantly with updates. They actually really seem to care. It’s a county facility. I don’t know what some people might be expecting . I find them top-notch because what you want most for your loved ones is caring and compassion and that’s what I find from these people! not only that someone I grew up who worked there all his life, George Makoul, he was a staple there. If I could give a zero I would, a family member was sent here from the hospital, they did not even make it 23 hours before they were put back into the hospital, let fall three times fractured ribs, stitches cut scraped bruises all over them. This is unacceptable! Was told by staff they find the residents after they fall and they receive their medicine sometimes but rarely on time! Disgrace

My father was there for only a short time, but he was well taken care of, regular showers, always clean. The staff and nurses were awesome. They called me with updates on a regular basis and even helped him when he needed to use the phone. All in all, I was very satisfied with his care.
