Giant Pharmacy

Upon having my prescription sent to Giant Pharmacy in California Md. I thought they would welcome a new customer with care and compassion. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. One of the employees made getting a simple prescription a living hell. Would not explain anything to me for the reason she could not fill my prescription. I had to call my old pharmacy and have my prescription transferred. Got my prescription within hours. Never go to this pharmacy. Customer service was a 0.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The staff is completely unprofessional, and will gossip about you while you are sitting there waiting for them to fill your (always late) prescription. For the past 3 days I have put in requests for an antidepressant through my doctor, who approved my request day 1, and day 2 and 3 I put in requests directly through giant. I am on my 3rd day without my medication, actively going through withdrawal, and when I called them today to ask when it will be ready, they told me they didn’t even have it in stock and now I need to wait even longer for them to order it. They could have, and SHOULD have, ordered it when the first refill request went through. I used to work for a pharmacy and I know how it works. I’m not sure why all bad reviews but I can say from personal experiences this is the best pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Miss Donna is very kind and knows me by name. The staff all know me and have always helped me or worked to get issues resolved on my behalf when needed. I’ve gone here 2 years now and won’t go anywhere else. Everyone here is fantastic.

First of all they don’t call you about saying hey your prescription are not coming in and or call your doctor saying hey we need you to approve it. Second the prescription I am on does not need authorization since I have called both my doctor and insurance and they still do not even check to see if it does all they do is just stand there and lastly maybe you should get up and actually do your job instead of waiting for a approval from a doctor idk maybe call them and stop being lazy about it like it is pointless to wait and not even try to attempt to call anyone. Like do better what if someone was dying and or didn’t get their prescription like that would be on you

Updating 07/05 Staff has changed since this issue before and the ladies at the pharmacy here latley have been very polite and helpful 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 glad I didn’t switch have not had any issues since! Beyond irritated at this point! On the 29th I came in trying to pick up a prescription my primary care physician called in after I went to urgent care and they prescribed something I couldn’t have. I spoke with Matt on multiple occasions on 01/30 and 01/31 he was short and snippy and blatantly did not care… I told him the names of the 2 medications I did not need and don’t want to pick up. And they told me the correct medication was denied by my insurance… a week goes by with no asthma medication I get a letter that is was approved 01/31 so fast forward to yesterday 02/08 I call them I get Mat
