Geisinger ConvenientCare South Abington

On Friday 1/23 my son who is a student at a nearby university had developed flu symptoms on 1/20. Our doctor was not in his office so we had to rely on Urgent Care. He got progressively worse and had coughed up a little blood. We signed in- waited to be seen, when he was called back he came out in about 5 minutes. He was told to take over the counter meds. He was not tested for anything- he was told the blood was from his throat. He did not receive any documentation you would think that at least the medication recommendations would have been written down. Fast forward to Monday 1/26- symptoms continued to get worse- because of the storm our doctor was not in the office. Took him to an urgent care closer to home. He was given a thorough exam- test ran for Covid- flu- strep and chest Xra

Had a severe sinus infection. The doctor/ PA, whatever they were, told me I didn’t have a sinus infection. I ended up getting prescribed augmentin and a steroid for inflammation the next day. Steer clear of all geisinger and certainly this place based on the other reviews with my same complaints.

I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. Very friendly staff, took all of my vitals, didn’t rush through anything. Highly recommend going for any of your urgent/no urgent medical issues.

Lauren Polanin took a great length of time asking me a lot of question. She probably saved my kidney and maybe my life. She went above and beyond with her care for me.

I was very pleased both times that I was seen here. Short or no wait time. Guess it depends on what time you go there. Dr. WAS VERY pleasant and put me on medication right away..
