Fry's Pharmacy

After using this pharmacy for about 2 years now, don't know why this pharmacy gets so much hate. The pharmacists are always busy whenever I've stood in line there keeping busy. Some occasions they did not recieve my prescription over the phone, so I'd just call and they'd start working on it right away. One time I had a trip planned, they were running behind so I called and explained the situation. The lady who answered was very nice and said she would start working on it right away before I had to leave town. The gentleman usually at the pickup counter is always friendly and professional. Hours are fine I think if they had one more pharmacist on hand they wouldn't be so overworked. Can tell these are good people with a lot of prescriptions to hand out. Doctor prescribed 3 prescriptions 3/19/24. 1 was filled the next day. Been waiting for the other 2 to be filled. 3/28/24 called re status. After the person answering the phone looked it up, she advised they were not filled because they were over-the-counter medications. When I asked why they never advised me of this, she rudely responded that she was advising me now - yes because I called them. Would it not be professional to let a lay person know this? If advised, I could have been taking the medications 8-9 days ago! This, by far, isn’t the first malpractice this pharmacy has committed. This pharmacy should be shut down.

This afternoon I went here for the first time today not realizing they don’t accept my insurance. My medication was going to be $200. The pharmacy tech saw that I was a little stressed by this and understood I couldn’t wait for my doctor to order it again to a different pharmacy. I was ready to pay the $200 when the tech decided to spend a few minutes finding a coupon online for me which brought the cost down to $40. She went above and beyond to help me out and I greatly appreciate it.

Quit using this pharmacy a couple years ago because prescriptions were never ready on time or not even found not a single time did I ever get a smooth transaction. Well it's been a couple years and I had to pick up here for my son. Was told my RX would be ready by 3pm got here at 3:15p and it still wasn't ready.

As a retired retail pharmacist, I am very pleased with Fry’s pharmacy…the public doesn’t seem to understand the pressures and stresses that affect the pharmacy staff throughout the work day…consider this: you are pulled in all directions…immunizations, insurance issues, drive-thru sales, phones ringing constantly, patients asking questions and there’s always FILLING THE PRESCRIPTIONS: CORRECTLY!!! As the patient, please be more considerate and be patient…
