Focal Physical Therapy - Armonk

I have been receiving ongoing therapy since September following rotator cuff repair in August after a very traumatic slip and fall at work. I chose Focal on recommendations of both my surgeon Dr Khabie and my wife who utilized them after both of her hip replacements. Neil has created facilities in both Armonk (where I attend) and Katonah and now recently opened Somers. He is a warm, compassionate professional who clearly brings his training and experience to deliver personalized care to all who are fortunate to have him as their therapist. Neil at Focal PT has been extremely knowledgable, attentive and supportive treating my difficult neck and shoulder pain. He reviewed imaging and offered to speak to my Dr. Unlike other pt I've had in the past, sessions are 1:1 the entire time. Neil always checks in and modifies the treatment plan, as needed. Sessions are a combination of manual treatment and guided strength building exercises, which need to be continued at home. Additionally, he suggests at home materials to assist therapy. I've used them for 2 knee replacement surgeries over time, and the results have been wonderful. Most recently, Neil was a joy to work with. Hard PT work and doing the exercises each day is the key for the surgery's success and I was glad to have his guidance and wisdom for all that. I just recently ended formal PT after the most recent surgery and I'll miss seeing him 2x per week

Focal Physical Therapy, specifically Michelle, has been instrumental in my recovering from breast cancer surgery, a double mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction (IYKYK). Michelle is specifically trained to work with clients who have had this or similar surgeries. When I started with her, I was not able to lift my arms much above 90 degrees and could not lie flat on my back or get up without assistance. Within three months, I have recovered most of my fuction, (I continue to be a client). Michelle is knowledgeable, attentive, positive, and supportive- attributes that truly helped me heal physically and emotionally from my surgery. I will miss seeing her as I go back to work.

I have suffered with TMJ on and off for years and recently the symptoms were exacerbated following a tooth extraction. There was a malocclusion with clicking and pain. My oral surgeon recommended that I see Neil Chernick PT at Focal PT. Neil is the only physical therapist to whom he will send his patients for this highly specialized therapy. After only 5 weeks of therapy and exercises I am now able to open my mouth without pain and my bite is normal. I am so impressed with Focal PT that I am planning on seeing their Personal Trainer for strength training coupled with a natural regime to increase bone density.
