We just had our first visit at Eyedea today for the whole family! Dr. Patel is incredibly organized, thorough, and patient. He was AMAZING with our 6 month old baby and was able to do so many calming tactics to get his eye exam completed! Also, I’m not the biggest fan of things getting too close to my eyes - but, Dr. Patel walked me through every step and made me feel heard and not embarrassed. 10/10 recommend Eyedea for folks who are looking for a small business, attentive, and meaningful optometry experience!

WOW, I feel super lucky to have come across this little gem of east austin!! I've been needing to get my eyes checked and get a new prescription, and I'm so glad I met Dr. Patel! The space is so warm and welcoming, they have free beverages while you wait (topo chicos, my favorite!!), and Dr. Patel took the time to explain all the new equipment and how it relates to the health of my eye. He showed me photos of the inside of my eye, which I've never seen before! The staff made scheduling/the exam process super easy, and the frame selection is great!

Great experience! Clean, modern space with high end equipment. My exam was more thorough than any I've had before. The frame selection is also better than a typical optical, with really unique brands and styles you won't find just anywhere. Dr. Patel was fantastic, took time to explain everything and never made me feel rushed. Highly recommend!!

I had a great experience with Dr. Patel. I found his practice through my insurance provider and I’m so glad I did! The office itself is beautiful, and he carries really unique, fun frames that are high quality and design-forward. It had been years since my last eye exam, and Dr. Patel took the time to ask thoughtful questions and made me feel completely comfortable asking my own. He’s clearly very knowledgeable and was especially helpful in guiding me through questions related to a more complex, individual situation I have. I never felt rushed, and it was obvious that he genuinely cares about his patients and is always willing to help. Highly recommend!
