I had my first visit with Emily a few days ago and can highly recommend her. She listened closely to the issues I described, asked questions, and followed up on MyChart. She is kind, patient, put me at ease, and answered my email. I was happy to learn she can help with yearly reproductive health checks as well.

Emily is so very kind, gentle, listens well, is compassionate, explains and addressed my concerns very well!! I’ve visited Carilion facilities in the past and I’ve been dismissed every time due to my mental health diagnoses in my chart even before Drs see me about my pressing issue I’m automatically written off as.. “It’s anxiety, depression ect.” In reality I was in severe pain due to a kidney stone!! Tonight, I had none of that from Emily. She addressed me as a whole and my concern.I felt incredibly safe and respected. I sat in my car crying afterwards due to the kindness I received and how I was treated as a human with a real concern. She saw the real issue and It was as simple as needing an antibiotic for an infection. I HIGHLY recommend Emily!!!! She has redeemed Carilion for me!!
