Emergency Room (ER) at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3 stars overall) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Physicians & EMT/Paramedic Care ⭐☆☆☆☆ Reception / Front Desk (Night Shift – Wednesday 1/21) My son came in with a bead stuck in his nose, which was extremely traumatic for him. I want to be very clear: the ER doctors were superb professional, calm, and excellent at what they do. The paramedic on site who took vitals was also wonderful and compassionate. The medical care itself deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, the experience was significantly impacted by the front desk/reception staff on the night shift (1/21). There was no sense of urgency, empathy, or basic acknowledgment when we arrived. My child was distressed, another patient in the waiting area was visibly upset, and no one seemed to care or step in to help. The ER environment was also uncomfortable t

I brought my husband to this hospital. For URGENT CARE the nurses at the front is sitting around laughing at the front while its people in here sick etc. my husband came in with a fever that’s 102.7 and has had to wait in the waiting room for 2 hours they didn’t give him any medication he is currently in the lobby sitting in sweat. This is the closest hospital but I will be sure next time to go to a hospital in Dallas atleast they are faster. Please avoid wasting time and get help fast you will do a lot better going to a different hospital.

Here right now as Bob is judging me. Came in for help with rumatoid, all bob wanted to do was sit here and tell me I need a PCP. Thanks for stating the obvious Bob. If it were that easy I would be there. Thanks for making me feel like a failure when I'm already having a rough time. All I needed was an anti inflammatory to help me until I can get insured and see a PCP.

The staff does not seem to care much about the people needing help. We waited for hours and hours. They give no word or update on the length of the wait and there was a hour where they didn’t call anyone back but at least 10 people were waiting. Seems people transported by ambulance will be given priority regardless of ailment. I would not recommend going here if you or your child have a serious emergency. It would have likely been quicker to leave a find another ER with better care and attention to patients, especially pediatric patients. Many people left while waiting because the wait was so incredibly long.

Don’t come here for pregnancy medical care. This place doesn’t specialize in pregnancy care. Also the black receptionist had mayor attitude. They took me to where they check my vital signs and all and the other black girl asking questions was so aggressive and rude. So many mad agresiva black girls working in this hospital. The doctor was actually very nice and patient.
