Elmore County Health Department

So I read other reviews from a different health department who stated Elmore was better to go to and can I tell just by phone conversation with Sandy this morning made my day thank you so much for your patience over the phone and answering all my questions without sounding annoyed. Praying my visit is the same.

This is a Family planning and STD clinic. We were not aware of that when I was told to go here to help a friend. The lady at the front desk was very nice and professional and helpful with information I needed.

I seriously cannot believe how rude some of the employees are here. I am in nursing school so I am learning about the Holistic and Therapeutic approaches that nurses should take when interviewing or assessing patients. Well let’s just say the nurse that had my interview either 1) had a bad day or 2) hates her job and needs to quit. She was the most blunt, cold, judge mental, and rude nurse I have ever met. When you sit down with someone to ask about symptoms or changes with their bodies that they are experiencing no one should ever make it out like it is a burden or as though you are an inconvenience... I don’t know what’s going on with this county in the Environmental department but so far it's Been terrible!! Been waiting well past the 10 business days for my septic inspection and I have called everyday for over 2 weeks and I get transferred to them and never get phone answered and if they do answer they give me a run around of “they will contact you, we don’t know any information or when and don’t know who” or leave a message and get no call backs from anyone and I can’t get anyone out here to certify this work was done to get our septic system put in! What the heck!!!!!! We paid $550 to get perk test done a month ago and the health department has dropped the ball big time on us. Very disappointed!!!
