Effingham Hospital & Emergency Room

Terrible place to visit or work if you actually care about patients. The workers care more about clocking out on time over giving good turn-over on patients admitted. They're also extremely rude. One worker had the audacity to call my wife a man and refer to her by a masculine name instead of the name that's literally on her shirt. Maybe they'd actually enjoy their job if they didn't go in with a busted attitude every day.

I wasn’t exactly being seen in the hospital but I was there with someone else on multiple occasions. I would like to say that a beautiful woman that told me her name was Q that works in dietary was very sweet and kind. I would just like to recognize that. It’s not everyday you come across genuine people that don’t mind helping you!

The visit to the ER for stitches on 08-24-2025 was truly impressive I arrived right at their shift change. From the moment the I checked in, the entire staff was professional and courteous. The wait time was minimal, and the Doctor, PA, Nurse and X-ray Tech were outstanding. They quickly assessed the cut on the forearm , applied the stitches flawlessly, and gave clear instructions for aftercare. Never has an emergency room visit moved so fast without feeling rushed. This team deserves high praise for their efficiency and professionalism.

I came in with chest pains and I was taken to a room immediately. Within 15 minutes they had checked my vitals, given me medicine, hooked me up to an EKG, ran an IV and taken blood, took X-rays of my chest, and asked me a ton of questions. The nurses and doctor were very helpful, friendly, and fast. They held me for a few hours for additional blood testing just to be safe and I was able to be discharged with the pain gone and a follow-up with a cardiologist. This hospital was fantastic and I had a very positive experience.

Ms. Danielle was amazing! Kind and explained all my divas silly questions. She also gave her soda with two cups one just ice all the way full and one halfway full of ice. Yep she did all that and didn't get aggravated in the least. Great energy! She deserves a million dollar raise!
