East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

Re-post. 1st post was removed To start with understaffed When you push alert button at night expect 1 2/2 to 2 hours for anyone to answer no matter how bad the situation. I was told they only one aid and one nurse for 40 patients as the excuse. The food was always cold and not healthy high salt and fat. Never fresh fruit or veggies. Soup has an oil slick floating on it No baths or showers in two weeks. Bathrooms rarely cleaned. Some of the aids are nasty and cruel. One patient was in tears when aid screamed at her. Reporting this did no good. Patients cries for help at night go unanswered. Male night nurse uncaring and lazy offers little or no help. The employees are sugar sweet if you have a visitor but when you are alone its different story. Horrible place

I cannot say enough great things about Jessica, in admissions!! She answered all of my questions and explained all of my options for Gran in great detail and responded to my calls and email within seconds!! This woman is so dedicated to helping patients and their families! Jessica helped us make the transition from Gran in the hospital to this facility smooth as butter!! So refreshing to see a passionate young woman so driven to help an old geezer like me and an even older geezer like Gran! I am so glad she helped my family through this rough patch! Also, kudos to Allison the administrator! She was also a great help, and is so very kind! This staff is excellent, great job!!

I have been to east side 2 times for rehab now in the past few years- I can truly tell you that the staff really care! They went above and beyond with everything- got my foot better so i could walk and get back home. I recommend coming here for rehab if you ever need it!

My mother and father shared a room at Eastside for a number of years. Their room was cozy and comfortable and they were very happy and content. My mother’s fear was that they would kick her out. The food was delicious and at that time we girls could share meals with them. The staff was loving and kind. My mother was always grateful that someone kissed them good night each bedtime. The staff became like family, and we enjoyed many outings with them. We couldn’t have wished for a better last home for them. My dad passed on April 5, 2009 at 94. Mother passed on June 2009. We will always be thankful for the care they received while residents.❤️

I really enjoy living here the ñurses and aids are very caring and professional the cleaners do a very nice job and the therapy department is excellent and I feel myself getting stronger each day the activity department has something each day for us residents to do . My plans when I came was to stay here a month then transfer to Murray Hill in Mount Morris but I love it here so much I am staying here to live . I have met some very special people I can call friends.
