East Pines Pharmacy

Love this pharmacy. Great for compound medications. Much cheaper than other pharmacies I've been too. Everyone there is extremely nice.

I do NOT recommend East Pines Pharmacy! They are the preferred pharmacy by Children's National and MedStar hospitals -- meaning case managers default to sending prescriptions to East Pines Pharmacy rather than more conveniently located pharmacies closer to where patients live. And despite all these hospital referrals to that pharmacy (and all the business they get as a result), they still haven't invested in an online ordering system, which means you have to call them to request refills or deliveries but they often don't pick up the phone, which is extremely frustrating. Further, when they ship medication that requires refrigeration, they provide inadequate insulation and ice packs and they've routinely arrived in the mail lukewarm rather than at the proper cooled temperature.

Walking into this pharmacy reminds me of the old Cheers show—where everybody knows your name. The pharmacist/owner is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about his customers. I love that the owner takes the time to remember your name and ask how your family is doing. We've been getting our prescriptions filled here for years, and in that time, he’s watched my kids grow up. They always get our prescriptions right and treat us like family. I highly recommend East Pines Pharmacy.

Great staff and super friendly and warm. Unfortunately, kindest doesn't equate to professional consistency in sending the same exact order out every month. We have to call every month to remind East Pines to send the automated order, and they've missed deliveries (despite calling to confirm we're all set) the past two months causing my daughter to miss a few doses of her medicine. Find another more reliable place for long term service.
