East Maryland Animal Hospital: Martens Melana DVM

Dr. Martens is amazing. I was recommended to her by my best friend and have been going there for over 5 years. It is a bit pricey, I recommend their PAW plans, but I will pay more to get the service and attention that I get their for my beloved Olive. The vet techs are amazing. Brittany shows such care for our dog, I feel so comforted going here. I recommend East Maryland to all animal lovers.

We brought my daughters dog in with a large ( 2 -3 inch) gash from a dog fight on his leg. His 3rd trip to the vet in a couple of weeks. Our regular vet was booked so we tried Maryland A.H. They quoted us $800 for suturing and wanted to sedate and intubate! Complete overkill. We opted out of the intubating and ask for the lessor bill. They sedated him and cleaned and dressed his wound but didn't stitch him up for $321! There was no shots nor labs needed because that had been done previously at our regular vet. I am very angry about him not being stitched up and the over kill for "wound treatment". We will not be back to this Vet. They seem to be money hungry and frankly ridiculous. And today my $300 bandage fell off. Yay so worth the money. NOT!

The veterinarians are compassionate and caring. Their approach to care is thorough, based on experience, training and technical knowledge. The techs and front desk are friendly and helpful.

Have an appointment wait for ever, then I din't understand why explain pets history twice once with vet tech and then again with the vet Then I felt like I was caught in middle with communicating between the two and clear up miscommunications.
