Thankful for Jenna(RN) and both doctors who worked with my son today! My 1 year old fell extremely ILL. He was diagnosed with the croup and two other doctors, but the staff today was so wonderful with him and my family! He is not completely better but compared to when he went in today he has already made tremendous improvements! Thank you all

Having to bring your kiddo in on Christmas was terrible but the Doctors and Nurses who took care of him were great. Dr. Abrams was kind, thorough, and made my son smile during a rough night.

The emergency room wait time is probably the longest in East Tn. I’ve seen other reviews from a week up to 3 years ago that are about the wait times , obviously something needs to change or someone needs to be fired. Nobody should have to wait over an hour for an active bleed especially a patient that has just received chemo a week prior.

The trash can had puke in it and it sat there for the whole time I witnessed another child throwing up in it. nobody cleaned at all. Power aide bottles everywhere and used tissues everywhere. We sat in there with our six month old for almost FIVE HOURS while she has been throwing up. Our child literally was dehydrated. They wouldn’t tell us anything at all and wouldn’t take anyone back. One person literally had a head wound that they said needed stitches and they told them to come back the next day this was overheard at the front desk. We ended up leaving. But I’m so disappointed in Children’s and we will never be back. It is simply a bandaid station.

Unfortunately, we had to visit the children’s ER for a few days with my daughter who was having seizures. The nurses were great, but more than anything, I want to shout out my praise and thank you to the chaplain. He touched our hearts, gave us faith, and reminded us that God is here for us in our time of need, which is exactly what we needed at that moment. I can’t thank you enough, but just know that I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know.
