Dermatology Center of Loudoun

I had a really nice experience at the Dermatology Center of Loudoun in the lansdowne location. Came in for a Mole check. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. I’m honestly not sure what some of the negative reviews are about, because I did not experience any of that. Everything was explained clearly, including the process. I also made sure to ask ahead of time if my insurance was accepted before scheduling my appointment, and they were upfront and helpful about that. I saw Dr. Nguyen, and she was very kind and attentive. She addressed all of my concerns, answered my questions, and made me feel comfortable. Always a great experience from start to finish. Appointments are consistently on time, and the front desk staff is welcoming and professional. Dr. Sofia Hager and Sam are knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in my well-being. I truly appreciate the level of care and would highly recommend this practice.

Extremely disappointed and Patients BEWARE. We have been patients here for over 8 years. To keep it short, my daughter had a biopsy on a mole. We received a SURPRISE bill from Pathology Group in Atlanta for over $1100 (in-network). We have never received a bill like this before and this is a NEW partnership with their office. They should have been able to communicate how expensive this would be and advised us beforehand so we could have made an informed decision. It's a shame because Sophia has been wonderful through the years but this situation and the way their staff talked to me about it was horrible. We will no longer be patients at this facility. Please be careful of what you sign and ask questions before allowing them to send off anything to another doctor.

Edited from 1 to 2 stars. After this review, the practice got in touch and forgave the bill. It’s still not okay that this was a necessary step for me to take but I appreciate that they finally paid attention to the issue. I am never coming back to this practice. The doctors are great but the new management is abysmal. My husband and I had skin cancer screening appointments but we were billed for a regular office visit, which meant we had to pay a copay. The problem is that cancer screenings are 100% covered by insurance IF the practice actually billed us correctly, which they didn't. I thought maybe it was a mistake, so I called multiple times and the answer I got was "We don't have a code for a cancer screening". Interesting, since last year everything was billed correctly. I do not recommend going to this dermatology office if you are scheduled with Keri Church. This was one of the most careless and disappointing medical experiences I’ve had. I came in with genuine concerns and expected to be treated with care, but instead she was dismissive and rushed throughout the visit. She repeatedly said the same things without providing real guidance, reassurance, or information on what to monitor moving forward. When I asked questions, her responses felt curt and attitude-driven, making me feel unheard and uncomfortable. This was my first and last visit. I highly do not recommend this doctor.
