Dell Children's Medical Center - Emergency

I took my child to Dell Children’s Medical Center – Emergency after a burn from hot water, and the care we received was amazing. The staff was kind, quick, and very professional. The doctors and nurses explained everything clearly and treated my child with so much compassion. They made a stressful situation much easier. I’m truly grateful and highly recommend this emergency department!

We were seem quickly. The staff was polite and kind. My child had fever ongoing for 4 days, vomiting, runny nose etc. and the doctor didn’t want to test for flu, Covid or rsv stating there’s no magically medication if my choose did have it. That was quite odd to me considering if there’s symptoms, testing should be done regardless. I asked to flu testing and it was positive. If you go, advocate for yourself and kiddos otherwise you’ll go up there just to be told to do all the home remedies youre already doing.

From the moment we arrived, every nurse, doctor, and staff member treated my baby with so much kindness, patience, and attention. They took the time to explain everything to me clearly, made sure my little one was comfortable, and reassured me throughout the whole process. Being a parent with a sick baby is scary, but they truly made me feel supported and cared for. The staff went above and beyond, and I’m extremely grateful for the compassion and professionalism they showed us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They did amazing! 🙌 After my child had a febrile seizure, the staff made sure to do every possible test to understand what could have caused it. They reassured me and her dad the entire time. 💖 They were incredibly helpful with my one-year-old, even helping with diapers when I accidentally left the diaper bag in the car. 🍼👶 I’m not from Austin and had recently moved here, but I can honestly say this is the most caring and hands-on hospital I’ve ever experienced. From the doctors to the nurses, everyone was outstanding. 👏 I also really appreciated how the doctor was assertive and understanding without being harsh or disrespectful. I received excellent care when I took my daughter to the emergency room for a burn. The nurses and doctors who treated her were very kind and answered my questions very carefully so that I could feel at ease. They treated my daughter wonderfully and made her feel comfortable, and they always used appropriate language to communicate with me, even knowing that I couldn't understand or speak English.
