I was diagnosed with type II Diabetes last year. Getting medication prescribed by my Doctor has been extremely difficult to impossible. They make it extremely difficult to get to the department who can help. There is no direct source to appeals. Mind you, I was taking this drug and it was covered, until mid year, they decided they needed much more than a prior authorization. I have had an authorization submitted every dosage increase and they claim to show none on file. Its a lie because they denied filling my medication until they received it. I went to a CVS on another prescription fill and they shorted me half of my medication. The pharmacist had the audacity to tell me "I was lucky" they had to do their inventory that night and found the missing pills to the controlled substance. Thi
Prices for prescriptions are drastically higher than what I paid with my previous coverage. Their website also quotes a cheaper price than what they approve when the prescription is filled.
Way too slow to get prescriptions. Going on several weeks without much needed blood pressure medication but I have no other way to get the medication covered by insurance.
Incredibly bad service with employees who don’t give a s—t. Every time I need a refill I have to call at least twice and often more. It’s actually faster to walk to the nearest pharmacy than use this service. My doctor sent in 3 prescriptions and when I called Caremark for status they said they only received 2. Had doctor send the missing one in again. Now they’re telling me they never received the other 2 which they previously confirmed they had received. They called me to set up an automatic refill service. Despite the fact that they’ve been receiving and filling prescriptions from my current doctor all year, they will no longer do so. I asked for a denial of service/coverage letter and told them I would give this to my doctor so I can get new prescriptions to take somewhere el
Worst company ever. I have been recieiving prescription coverage through cvs for years for the same 3 prescriptions. All of the sudden they rejected prior authorizations on 2 of the 3 stating "I dont fit the coverage criteria". My doctor has sent multiple prior auths and they continue to reject them. When I asked them why they paid these out for years and stopped all of the sudden they were not able to give a speecific answer. I am now 2 months in not being able to cover my prescriptions. Evil people trying to charge employers to cover folks and than simply refuaing to do what they are paid to do.
