CoxHealth Emergency Department

Nurses were great. Dr. Chris Gilbert was odd. After exam he did labs and said he’d be back in hour never came back. Nurse went to give my husband meds and he cancelled them without letting her know. She reached out to him about giving my husband water he didn’t get back to her. Dr kept saying he is here all night during exam as if it didn’t matter to him that we didn’t want to be there all night.

On vacation, family member had a medical emergency. He ended up being admitted for two days. From the ER personnel to everyone on the 5th floor, were great! Even the discharge process on the 4th floor was great. The care was amazing, my concerns were addressed, and the whole experience was not as stressful as it easily could have been. Thank you for your care and support.

I would give them a negative if I could. The ER should not take several hours to be seen. Staff seem to not care. Just a horrible experience. I could have drove 6 hours back to Louisiana and it would have been quicker.

We were on vacation and my 7month daughter had a 104 temp and was retracting so we took her to ER and the triage nurse got us in fast and back to a room. Our nurse Eric in our hospital room was great! Even our er physician did great. Thankful for my daughters care.

7 hours of wait still going while intense migraine for 6 days and high blood pressure with vision loss and shaky arms and hands.
