Costco Pharmacy

I called the Costco Pharmacy in Woodinville today while visiting from out of state to ask about transferring prescriptions and getting a price quote. I clearly stated that I do not have insurance and that I use prescription discount cards. I spoke with a pharmacist named Cynthia. Initially the conversation was fine, but her tone shifted when I asked whether Costco accepts discount cards. She replied that they do, but questioned why I would use one when Costco’s pharmacy discount benefit is “cheaper,” despite not knowing what medications I was calling about or their tiers. Our Bartell’s Pharmacy closed, so we opted to switch to Costco. Our pharmacist went out of their way to call our doctor for the better generic prescription. Then when I went to pick it up, the pharmacist was confused why it cost so much. I explained about our insurance not being the best, and she found a way to save us about 30% from what we’d been paying for years. There may be a line to wait in, but this is the best pharmacy in the area.

I have a lot of praise for Costco pharmacy in Woodinville. They take the time to make sure questions are answered fully . They are kind and considerate even though it’s extremely busy.

My husband dropped off an RX for Nexgard Combo (Flea Meds) for our cat on 12/6/2024 after work. He was told it would take about 15 minutes to get ready. No big deal. He did some shopping, came back about 30 minutes later, still not ready. I received a text later that night that it was ready but only half of the prescribed amount was available and that they had to order the rest. I was told they would order it and it would take a week or so. They said we could pick up the half the amount or wait but either way, that amount was set aside for us. Fast forward to today, 12/30/24. Called at 10:00AM and confirmed that the medication was ready for pickup. Nope! Still only have half. The pharmacy is a mess!! They are extremely unprofessional always errors and mistakes! Always I mean all the time .. the team have no idea how to deal with with the insurances and usually you hear just sorry !!
