Concentra Urgent Care

I had a pleasant visit at Concentra off Myatt Drive in Rivergate. The staff smiled and greeted all warmly. My patients were called by name. It was 12/30/25 the Christmas decorations were still up. The walls were covered with Charlie Brown and the gang on 1 wall playing in the snow. And another singing Christmas carols. The background was all black and strings of white lights were draped over it. A very talented person did a magnificent job. It wasn’t long before I was called back to have vitals taken and saw Dr. Cates. He was very nice. Dr. Cates asked questions about my fall the day before. Surprisingly I could manage the pain in my lower back. He prescribed Physical Therapy 8am the next morning. Arrived on time the next morning and saw Cody. He showed me exercises to do at home. They definitely need better staff at the front desk. Both receptionist were rude. I asked if a form could be completed by the physician, per my insurance company and she instantly got an attitude and turner up her face. The nurse was extremely nice but the ladies at the front desk, set the tone. I would definitely NEVER come to this location again.

This staff is efficient at getting people in an out quickly weather you doing a drug screen, Physical or both. Or seeing the doctor for any other reason. They are kind and helpful with any questions you may have. I would get there as early as possible because it can get super busy. But they have proven they can handle the business. I am a disabled veteran. I also have sciatic nerve pain down my left side. I have medication that I use daily, but had severe pain that my regular med didnt touch! So, after looking at my VA options for Urgent Care, I went to this clinic. First off, the employee who took my blood pressure INSISTED that it was 96/63!!! If my BP was that low, they should have called an ambulance and taken me to a hospital!! When the doctor showed up, he sounded upset that I did NOT want opiates, and then told me that he would cancel my visit like i never came there, and to go to the VA!!! I WAS IN AGONY, and every bump on the road made me scream in pain, which is why I went to the closest Urgent care that is allowed in network!! The doctor that they have there while I was there I heard him screaming at another facility about paperwork Everything went well but when I got to the doctor he asked me two or three questions and listen to my heart and that was the end of his examination very blunt man had no questions only denials if you don't get rid of this man he's going to call cause this company to go under because he's so quick to stop things without investigating, I am 59 years old I gave him information that happened over 30 years ago he never questioned anything he just denied so therefore I feel he was biased in his decision he only spoke one or two times and that was it and it was all about denial.. people don't have $350 to just give to this doctor's office without any type of investigation of illness or anyt
