Complete Care at Barn Hill

We went to pick up a friend today at the facility. Thank goodness he is getting out of there! The hallway smelled of urine and we could not even go in his room the stench was so bad! He had not been bathed in a while. The place has gone downhill since it became Complete Care. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

I would like to start this review with saying that our entire experience was not negative. The were definitely a few nurses and CNA’s and a wonderful Dr named Carrie that were caring and attentive but over all this was the most disturbing experience I have ever had. From the staff trying to push things off to other staff members, to the administrating the wrong medicines, to a complete disconnect of plan of care services my mother had the worst experience possible. No one’s family member should have to sit in their own feces for over 5 hours because they said the next shift will come and clean you……No one’s family member should have to argue with staff over the needs of a breathing machine that they will not put on because “they don’t know how it works.” If it was not for myself advocat

My mom has been in Barnhill a few different times over the past few years recovering from different illnesses. She has always been treated with respect and she has had wonderful rehabilitation there. She tells me how nice and respectful the staff have been. No complaints from her. They always answer questions and keep me informed of her progress. My dad was also there for rehabilitation for a short time before he passed in 2016. We had the same experience, friendly, helpful and caring staff.

It takes a lot for me to write a negative review for any business. But I can’t hold my tongue. Overall, they did a good job getting my Mom back on her feet. But they are completely disorganized. When my Mom completed rehab and was transferred out of her facility, her cell Phone was lost. Which happens, but when we tried to call to locate it, they couldn’t care less. They would tell us “the person that handles that isn’t in today”. Which seemed to be a common theme every time we would call. When they did finally call back, they told us to contact the transport company, but failed to give us the name or number of the actual facility. Very frustrating! When my mother was picked up by the transport company, the number one thing that should’ve been sent with her was her cell phone why wasn’t

People lie and never told our family their was a Covid outbreak , family member was going to facility after an operation, no one ever told us the place was full of Covid , Newton Hospital and Complete Care is terrible should not have put our loved one n family at risk especially vulnerable people Hospital needs a clean sweep figuratively n literally ,All people got by there BEWARE, not happy with condescending staff!!!!!!!!!
