MONEY GRAB. After five years as a loyal client, I can confidently say this practice is far more focused on profit than pet care. In my experience, Dr. Jankunus consistently prioritizes revenue over reasonable care decisions. Nearly every interaction feels like a push for additional labs, tests, or medications whether they are truly necessary or not. The final straw was when I tried to fill a 6-month prescription for my dog’s medication using a 50% coupon. Despite having five years of records showing I never miss visits and routinely approve the most comprehensive labs they recommend, they refused to authorize more than a 3-month supply unless I brought my dog in for yet another round of bloodwork. I had a terrible experience at this animal hospital. They seem to prey on the love and concern you have for your pet, knowing you're in a vulnerable position. I was charged nearly $700 for a single visit, with little explanation and no clear breakdown of costs until it was too late. It felt like price gouging, and I left feeling taken advantage of. I understand that quality care costs money, but this felt excessive and unfair. I won't be returning and would urge others to ask for estimates and full transparency before agreeing to any treatment. The people at Companion were all very friendly, professional and helpful. The facility was clean, comfortable and accommodating. It's very reassuring to know that there is a veterinary hospital in our community with such high standards. Thank you.

The technicians, vets & receptionist have been great. They treat you & your pet as a valued client. Whenever my dogs have had an unexpected need to see the Vet, they have been accommodating. I've been very pleased with them & plan on continuing to use them for my dogs primary care. I would recommend them to my friends & family.

Companion Pet Hospital of Carmel is the BEST! The staff is wonderful, caring, patient and very understanding. I brought my dog Mya to their office (1st time) since my other vet was booked and recommended Companion Pet Hospital to us. Mya wasn't acting herself, not feeling well so Dr. Lecaro did some blood work and unfortunately Mya was anemic and had kidney failure so we decided not to let her suffer anymore and had her euthanized the same day in my arms with my son by my side. Companion Pet Hospital of Carmel is highly recommended by me. They made us feel very satisfied with their services and care. They also sent us a sympathy card with Mya's nose and paw prints and a condolence from each staff member too which made us so glad to keep. When we picked up her ashes a few weeks later, Kim h
