I had an appointment for a pre-employment drug screen and TB bood draw at 7:30am. I was stuck at work until 7:40, when I called to let them know I was running late they couldn't have been nicer! Check-in was an absolute breeze, and everyone was so kind and professional. Despite being late, I was in and out in no time, and I cannot stress enough just how kind everyone was. My blood draw was nothing short of perfection, painless and quick and again done with precision, professionalism and such a friendly attitude. Every step of the process was clearly and concisely explained. I would 100% recommend this location for any sort of labwork or testing you need done. Despite being very busy they kept things moving very efficiently and I was finished very quickly. Thank you so much for taking care
The 2 young ladies working the desk were strangely hostile to me. I asked if I could use their office phone to call my doctor to confirm that I had collected my phleghm sample for copd ( chronic bronchitis type) correctly. (It was not from the deep cough I usually have, but just from postnatal drip) My insurance only covers 3 samples , so I wanted to be sure. The shorter lady , tho very rude, was still going to dial for me to ask, but the taller lady grabbed the phone from her and hung it up, saying that the doctor was going to say it is fine. I went next door and borrowed that phone and the Doctir said " no, that is not fine" The taller lady actually told me to go back to the mainland. I have never encountered such unprovoked hostility from a place if business. I had never been there
Pretty much every medical facility has some amount of negative reviews that I take with a huge grain of salt because people may be under stress from whatever they are going through. From my experience, primarily at this CLH and once at another location, the people I have dealt with have always been as helpful, empathetic and service oriented as possible, both with myself and everyone I have witnessed them interact with. It isn't their fault if there is a non-covered insurance item or the doctor sent orders to another lab (not CLH location). I have both experienced and seen the staff at Walua Fd patiently and kindly treat everyone who has come in the door while I was there. Thank you for being who you are. Please know you are appreciated no doubt by more people who don't leave good revie
Unfortunately most services being reduced. No longer helping the community opening at pre work hours 7 am is not sufficient. And it’s says they open at 7 am. But you can’t make an appointment at 7. Am. So. It’s just another business in Kona reducing services and no caring for the people. Who pay there wages.
Had to have blood tests this morning. Lots of folks, long line outside the office at 7:00 am. Once I got inside and checked in I got a chance to see the staff at work. Exceptionally busy yet they were calm and treated everyone well, as if no one else was waiting for services. They were beautifully responsive to the elderly. The techs were on the move yet made every effort to engage each patient. My blood draw was diffucult but they turned me over to the "blood draw whisperer" and her patience and knowledge resulted in success! Just wanted to say mahalo to these men and women for their professionalism and kindness!
