CHOP at Virtua Mount Holly Hospital

My child was seen by two physicians at a local urgent care & was diagnosed with pneumonia. Both physicians were concerned about her x-ray and oxygen level so they referred me to this ER for closer monitoring. Since I was referred to this specific facility from urgent care, I assumed that the systems were connected. If I would have known differently, I would have gone elsewhere due to the 2.5 star rating. Upon arrival, we were called back within 10 minutes of check in. Nurse Gina L rolled her eyes & made snide comments about the doctor that sent us there & said that they weren't going to do anything but prescribe antibiotics and send me home, all of which could have been handled at urgent care. We have been using this location of CHOP since 2021 and have zero complaints! Mostly we have been here for ophthalmology but also for when my oldest fractured his wrist. Facility is always clean, staff is friendly and knowledgeable and my children have always been happy and comfortable with the doctors/nurses.

I previously had a terrible experience here with a nurse who openly spoke bad about my son and I and failed to diagnose my son with pneumonia. However, my last experience here was amazing. Doctor Zieniuk made sure he ruled every possible thing out before sending us home. He was also very kind and attentive to my son. He made up for my last experience and I’m very grateful for that.

Took my daughter there this evening for a bad knee injury. She was crying/screaming the majority of the time in pain. We waited 2 and a half hours. When I finally went up and asked at 2 hours why 15 people that came after my daughter were seen already she said well 3 had breathing issues. I said yes well the other 12 were issues that should have been at a primary doctor and not an er so why is my daughter being passed over for these non emergencies. The real reason comes out because no doctor has picked up her case yet. So since my daughters case will obviously be more time consuming rather than oh your child has a cough, ear infection, or tiny cut that needs a band aid (Yes that happened) they were skipping over her. Close to my home have been taking my son there for the past few years since we moved to Burlington overall experience has been very good nurses and doctors are great had no issues with all our visit .
