Cherry Brook Health Care Center

Cherry Brook Healthcare in Canton, CT has been providing exceptional care for my elderly mother for the past few years. The facility is always clean and well run with pleasant surroundings. I’ve found the nurses and support staff to be attentive and caring. Most important my mother is thriving in their care and I am very thankful.

My mother was transferred to Cherry Brook for rehab. She had hip replacement surgery so she needed PT. Cherry Brook is so understaffed. It's sad because 1 aid has to care for 17 patients at a time. As far as PT my mother hardly got any. She would take a little walk down the hall only to come back to her room to sit for 6 hours. She was also given her meds on an empty stomach and throwing them up because she felt sick. I just wish her PT was more often and more aggressive. Maybe exercise in her room when not in PT. I would not recommend this place because of the limited staff.

This is by far the best rehab I haver ever been in. The cleanliness, care and hospitality exceed all reasonable expectation! There are difficulties at times with understaffing, but those who are here truly care. I have visited people in many rehabs, and many were substandard, but Cherry Brook is a gem. I live 45 minutes from Canton, but came here because I'd heard good reviews. I would return here for any future convalesce/rehab need.

We cannot say enough great things about our experience at Cherry Brook. From the moment our mother arrived until the day she passed, the level of caring, compassion, communication, commitment, teamwork and professionalism was incredible. If I could rate them higher than 5 out of 5, I would. They are a special group of people and we are grateful to have had them care for our mother. I’m a volunteer at CBHCC, when I visit the residents and I see how the staff interacts with the patients and their visitors, they make everyone feel wonderful and welcome. From walking through the front entrance and until the end of my stay I always get a welcome feeling. The receptionists are wonderful! Rebecca, the Director of Admissions, as well as the Director of Cherry Brook Health Care are always checking on the patients. Popping into their rooms and saying hello.. Kate, the Director of Recreation and her staff, always have creative and interactive programs that the residents enjoy. I’ve had personal experiences with outpatient physical therapy, Sylvia and Anne are the best around, they got me back on my feet quickly and really helped me with my pain. I highly recommend Cherry Br
