Centra Southside Community Hospital

Go to Richmond. Please don’t waste your time unless you absolutely have to. The worst waste of time ever and they are not nicest or most informative people. The other reviews are very telling of this. Also, see the pic I posted. Back again at 7 am on Thursday and still shitty service. Most treatment facilities are able to provide a wait time. Here, they just have you sitting like helpless ducks. Stop giving these people our money. They are only able to carry on like this because they know many people have no other options. Radical change is necessary here before I ever come back for anything short of next to death.

L&D unit is filthy. My second visit is definitely my last. Housekeeping will put “sanitized” label on toilet, when you obviously see blood, feces, and urine on the toilet and on the floor. I had a pool of dried blood under my bed upon my arrival. These rooms aren’t not being cleaned properly. I spent 2 days itching and having random bumps show up from the bedding. Thin blankets, bring your own everything, toiletries included. Don’t expect them to send you home with items to care and feed baby until their first pediatric appointment. They are stingy with ready to feed formula, diapers, wipes, etc. The nurses do not read your birth plan & does the bare minimum. I was given my medications at the wrong time and not at all. The overall standard of care at FarmVille location is deeply concerning. While most of the nursing staff are commendable, there appears to be a deficiency in compassion and clinical experience among some practitioners. My family member has been hospitalized there many times and each time she is treated as an old person dying. Even among their staff the chatter is don’t bring your love one to this place! All they do is drug them Up and send them to nursing homes. What’s is really going on? Why is it that a person age drives how someone is taken care of. Don’t even bother writing the CEO of this place as every thing is covered up.

i’ve never been a fan of this hospital but yesterday i came in with an asthma attack and the gorgeous RN and respiratory nurse that i had were an absolute blessing. i wish i could remember their names, please keep them. they deserve the most .

I can always count on the emergency room staff to be polite and professional towards me and my family. They are always nice to my children.
