CareNow Urgent Care - Anderson Mill

Staff is friendly and you get seen quickly if checked in online. My only small issue here is, I had come in 3 separate occasions over the course of 4 weeks. In short, received some treatment on 1 visit but then was pretty much told its just allergies the next 2 visits. I know better than that due to my own medical history, so I went to another facility and actually had bloodwork and tests done. Diagnosed with Atypical pneumonia, aka walking pneumonia, received treatment/scripts and within 3 days im now feeling better than at any point in the previous 4 weeks. I know its thats time of year here in TX but not everything is allergy related. And don't tell patients to come back if no improvement in 3 days only to diagnose allergies and suggest otc remedies.

I visited CareNow today. I did not have to wait long. Everyone there was very nice. Shelly and Sarah Stankes, PA took very excellent care of me. Friendly, caring, knowledgeable, helpful, listened to me and I felt comfortable. I appreciate their assistance and am very thankful for them!

I made the appointment on their website to help expedite the process as I had previously used this facility before. I received a text stating a 15 minute wait. A minute later I received a call from them stating their physician is backed up and there would be a 2-3 hour wait. Proceeded to offer a different location because "they" have capacity, but when pressed for details she paused and eventually said the other location had a similar wait. This was on a Friday and well before closing. I could see through the lies and writing on the wall. If you are reading this, don't bother booking and filling out the information. Find somewhere else.

Five stars for the nurse and doctor who helped me. Both were incredibly warm, thorough and kind. Both took their time, I didn’t feel as if they were rushed and I was seen promptly. Unfortunately, the receptionist was unpleasant and a bit unprofessional. She asked about a back up form of insurance which is always run by my social security number. I’ve had this insurance for years and there has never been an issue until today. As I tried to explain to her that social security number would suffice she cut me off, didn’t listen, told me to move aside and sit down. I’m not sure why or how this happened but no one wakes up and expects a trip to urgent care. To be felt like I was an inconvenience and her condescending manner was uncalled for and upsetting. She was not at the desk when I left.

easy appointment set/checkin process. good customer service that helped me in person to pish my appointment back so i could make it on time. pmeasant paperwork/reception, and excellent triage/resting/consult once in the office. good system, good people, good experience.👍👍👍
