Brooks Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics

I have always loved this dental office. Great staff and dentist. Everyone is amazing from beginning to end. Only thing is that I would appreciate if they would actually do prior authorizations for services not covered by plan hoping the would possibly be covered instead of having patients pay full cost. There is more than enough time from one appointment to the actual procedure appointment to avoid this 😪. Lesson learned, will definitely ask what is covered and if anything needs Prior Authorization before showing up waiting, to find out full cost or Prior authorizations could have been done before actual appointment day. Hope this helps other parents.

Did great on my son‘s cleaning, but when it came to treatment. They didn’t give options and only gave hospital under general Anastasia. They said my son wouldn’t seat still but that wasn’t the case. Definitely had been to other offices where your child won’t be put under.

Had a appointment at 11 and left the office at 1:30pm. Waiting area is small and had no where to sit. Upon having my kids cleaning done, i did mention i work in pedo. Was told both my kids needed 3 crowns, was shown the xrays but never walked out with a treatment presented to me, just scheduled a appointment to return. 2 weeks later had a 2nd opinion and the work that was “needed” at Brooks was extensive and was no where near what my kids needed, if i had not mentioned i also work in pedo im sure they would have pulled more crown’s “needed”. The hygienist and dentist was nice but overall will not be returning.

I really don’t know how this place has a positive rating. Maybe my experience was the exception, who knows? I took my child in and everyone was nice, from the staff to the assistants. When the dentist came in to see him she was like oh yeah he has 4 cavities and needs crowns, said a couple of more things and left. I was like wait a minute but she was gone by then. The kind dental assistant answered a few of my concerns. She said I could speak to the dentist if I had any questions and I said, “ yes I have questions for her, I’ll wait, “ and thanked her. It took a while but the dentist finally came back and answered my questions but I felt like she was put off by the fact that I was even asking them. Needless to say it left a bad taste in my mouth. My issue is regarding the repeated cancellation of my appointments. This is the third time my appointment has been canceled due to the doctor taking time off when school is closed. While I fully support physicians taking well-deserved time off, it would be more appropriate for those dates to be blocked off on the annual calendar in advance to avoid scheduling conflicts and repeated cancellations. This particular appointment was scheduled months ago because there was limited availability for the procedure. Now, as a result of the cancellation, we are required to wait even longer, and I have not been offered any accommodations that fit my schedule.
