Broad Acres Nursing Home

Very courteous, polite, organized, respectful, Personable. Peaceful atmosphere my Mother in Law is less stressed in this facility than her last.I got input from her and she states that the food is great and the staff will get her what she wishes. All around what's important is she feels at home at Broad Acres. Keep up the great Atmosphere.

Both of my grandparents have been in this facility and I worked on the other side. Each step along the process of getting my grandfather transferred there I dealt with a person that is well educated and very helpful at their given position. They made the process so much easier than it could have been at a very stressful time for our family. Now when I go spend time with my Grandpa or pick him up to go out of the facility with me for an event or for a few days leave of absence, they always have him ready to go and he has had no complaints. We discussed his care plan, what they provide and what we, as the family, expect. I've been very pleased with everyone I've met and interacted with. The aides are always good spirited and their upbeat attitudes are much appreciated.

I'm not going to per say rate this facility. It actually is a pretty nice facility considering the state of nursing. All the persons having issues with their loved ones not receiving good care, etc. Please complain to the State and the Administrator of the building. Nursing staff can only do so much with no help. You are right. Profit margins are everything. Like capitalism? Anyway, its not the facility its the money managers and corporations whose greed knows no bounds. Just saying. A nursing assistant who is responsible for 16 residents has his/her hands full. Yes sometimes unfortunately patients have to wait too long for care. Calling 911 is not an answer. Hey Here's an idea. Volunteer to help at homes in your community. Don't boo. Do something.

My Mom has been here for over 2 and 1/2 years. She really likes living here. She gets out and about every afternoon for bingo and activities. She likes to have her dinner in the dining room. Her CNA’s are great. They definitely go the extra mile. Everyone makes it a point to stop and talk with her. She certainly feels special. We are blessed she has such a nice place to live. A big “Thank You” to the staff!!

This place is an absolute joke. I get small mountain town accessibility and resources. But after reviewing more in depth what was offered to them, how they chose to continually illy advocate those funds and resources. Do your basic google research people. This is not a good place. And because of such.. comes the level of staffing accordingly. Edit. My dad was there for over a year and ended up passing in his 60s. And the facility still claims they lost his wallet, id, debit card (which i found out later that identify theft had been committed the week he died after and drained his account- using brand new card numbers he was just issued 2 months prior. He was a smoker.. but he shouldn't have died yet. And after reading one of prior note pads of his constant jot downs that I instructed him
