UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute

I have used UPMC's Internal Medicine and Cardiology services for years, and have been quite satisfied with the providers. My first time with Dr. Gilbert for a Cardiology checkup was better yet. He reviewed my history and medications prior to meeting with me and had several suggested changes. After he explained his reasons, and how medical research has altered common regimens of heart valve treatment, I readily accepted the changes. Good introduction to this provider and the very friendly and competent nurse and office staff.

I first met Dr. Gilbert in the ER at Wellsboro Hospital. He made me feel very at ease. He showed a real concern for the problem I was having. A follow up visit 5 days later at his office went very well. He's good at explaining things so I could understand. Great Doctor who enjoys fly fishing 🎣.

This was my first visit to Dr. Gilbert. He was very thorough in explaining what my problem is. We were impressed with his knowledge, and he was very compassionate while being straightforward. I highly recommend him, and look forward to his expert help in the future.

I had an appointment with Dr Gilbert. He is wonderful. He takes time to explain difficult concepts in terms that are understandable. I am so fortunate to have him as my heart doctor. We are very fortunate to have a doctor of his caliber.

CRNP seemed confused about my condition.Talked about open heart surgery and catheterization until she checked with Dr Gilbert . I think I would prefer to see Dr Gilbert at my appointments.
