I was referred here after a life threatening abscess was discovered in my dog Waylon's mouth. He was brought back quickly, stabilized, and in for surgery the next morning. The whole team from emergency doctor, surgeon, and care staff were amazing! Communication was clear and compassionate through every step including financing and his care. They kept me updated during his 3 day stay and were professional and kind. I'm so grateful for the entire staff here who saved Waylon's life!

Boundary Bay did an amazing job treating my 13-year-old cocker spaniel. I was referred here by my regular vet when they discovered a 2cm malignant mass on his anal gland and recommended surgery ASAP. I knew this was going to be stressful and expensive but getting my pup surgery was the best thing I could do for him. BB was able to get him in very quickly to do all the testing (ultrasound, X-ray, bloodwork), and then get us in to meet with Dr. Herrera (oncologist) and Dr. Knapp (surgeon). Both vets were super thorough in their explanations of the diagnosis and what the surgery would entail. They were able to schedule his surgery the following week and were successful in removing the mass plus 3 lymph nodes (to send out for testing), then kept him overnight to administer pain meds/monitor h

After my 3-year-old dog Felix got diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, we were in desperate need of a oncology vet who could help extend his life, manage his pain, and provide him with treatment plan. We were able to be added as a new patient at Boundary Bay Veterinary Clinic fairly quickly, which was a blessing, because many other clinics had very long wait times for appointments. Dr. Harris was our dog’s primary oncologist, and she did a great job providing him with the best care options for an incurable type of cancer. We were able to get about 4 more months of wonderful quality time with Felix before he recently declined and passed away. I can’t recommend Dr. Harris and the team here enough. Dr. Milan at Boundary Bay saved my cat Alby's life. Alby had a complex ear disease in both ears that was causing rapid neurological deterioration, and I had been told by other vets that he didn't have much longer to live without surgery but that he was also not eligible for surgery. Dr. Milan went above and beyond, working with WSU's oncology department, to identify a special test to diagnose the root cause and determined that a double VBO ear surgery actually was possible. My cat Alby recovered beautifully. He went from near death to a cuddly, happy cat again. He's our young daughter's best buddy, and it warms our heart to see him snuggling with her again. We can't thank Dr. Milan enough for his dedication and care to saving Alby.

Update to my review about my 12yr old lab’s larynx tie back surgery. Miss Emma is now 13 and acting so much more lively than she did before surgery. I know this may not be the case for every pup but the staff at Boundary Bay gave us another year of sassiness, camping, walks, chasing squirrels, extorting treats and a little more raspy bossiness from our Emma. She is healthy and strong and isn’t too bothered about the lifestyle changes. Here’s hoping for as much time as we can get.
