Bon Secours Community Hospital

Don't come here if you're a woman. Stayed for a week and a half and they refused to supply me the birth control I've been on for TWO YEARS because they're a "catholic hospital." They told me to get someone from my home to bring up my pills but didn't care when I told them my home was three hours away. One of the doctors (I believe his name is Dr. Khan) even had the nerve to ask me "who is your partner" and I actually had to explain to a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL that I don't take it as a contraceptive because actually birth control has multiple uses... Then they also forgot to discharge me with my referral paperwork for outpatient services and the papers I came in with from the hospital I was transferred from (they confiscated it). Unbelievable. I went to the ER this week and was admitted and had a laparoscopic surgery this week, and the experience was fabulous. The hospital is not fancy, but the people who work there were fabulous, the nurses, the doctors, everyone was so wonderful I was overwhelmed by the care and love they gave me. I'm from NYC so I have very high standards for medical care, and this was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend Bon Secours if you are in the unfortunate situation of needing medical care.

I don’t know about all the facilities the hospital offers but I can say that the staff who has taken care of my 92 year old grandfather have been exceptional. My grandpa was admitted with a uti that became septic and the doctors and nurses got him stable. He is on palliative care and has been treated with so much kindness, respect and nurturing. As the family members it means so much to know when we leave at night that he is being looked after so well. The kindness of the staff did not end with my grandfather. They’ve been so good to my grandma and the rest of us. They bring us drinks and chat with us. A special thank you to the Isaac and Carol for always going above and beyond for grandpa. Taking the extra time needed to feed him and wash him up daily has made him feel comfortable. Much t

I brought my newborn to the emergency room, nurses where joking and talking to each other while performing on my baby a rectal thermometer reading, the problem here is the nurse used the oral thermometer and keep trying like 4 times while my baby resisted and cried. I feel terrible but I was worried and scared about my newborn wellbeing. I didn’t know what was happening and also you may think they know best but in this case it is not. I feel like I felt my baby letting them did it to my newborn.

First time at this Hospital for a same day surgery and let me tell you it was wonderful. The nurses were caring and very nice. From prep to recovery, it was wonderful at the fourth floor. Shoutout to nurse Lisa and Megan. Excellent service.
