I wish that I would have switched offices when Amanda left. However, I kept my child at this practice for over a year afterwards. Big Mistake! Dr. Barry has been consistently (50 min - 1 hour) late to appointments. He nonchalantly moves about the office with no sense of urgency, as if young children can wait for him all day. On top of this, he sent my child to the hospital for bloodwork rather than having this done at the office . I have no idea why this was done as this was not an emergency situation. This resulted in a $250 bill for labwork! On top of that, Blacksburg Pediatrics charged me for a difficult stick when my child never even had bloodwork at the office. After all of this, his staff could not even follow up after my child had the tests performed. For the health of your child

This pediatric clinic has been helpful for us, though the wait times were always long. We appreciated that Dr. Berry was flexible, and we were able to schedule our first visit as soon as we moved to town in 2024. However, because the visit was in January, our insurance was not applied correctly. We requested more than three times for the visit to be re-submitted with the updated insurance information, but it was never addressed. Now, I have received a letter from a debt collector regarding this bill. Can you please address this matter?

Dr.Barry is a very patient and understanding pediatric Dr that cares about his patients. And we do miss Dr.Amanda too 🥰 I am Thankful for all they do to help my children stay healthy and happy. We’ve been seeing docs at NRV Pediatrics since the birth of my oldest in 2014. We’ve never had issues getting appointments or being seen when needed and we’ve never had an issue with any physician there-all have been concerned and diligent in their care, with great “bedside manner”. Highly recommend!

We use to have a great experience when we were seeing Dr. Hale. As soon as she left it’s been an absolute nightmare! My child has now had to withdrawal from medication she has been taking for MONTHS because they made her completely cold turkey it. All because they went back and “read notes they had missed earlier” saying she was switched to a new medication. The thing the notes didn’t say was that Dr. Hale let us know due to my daughter’s insomnia if the new medication was not working we could switch her back to her old medication just not to take them together. She had been taking her “old” medication for months and had multiple appointments which this would have been told to her and her new doctor, Dr. Berry.
