Birch Patrick Convalescent Center

Im very disappointed with the care I have received here. I have been yelled at by CNA staff, I have witnessed call lights being turned off but patient needs not tended to, I have had to walk a patient back to her bed twice and witnessed the patient fall back onto her bed. That patient has a bed alarm which no staff acknowledged. I was informed that I could not discharge because I picked up an infection that can only be caught in hospital setting through non cleanliness. Now im stuck here getting IV antibiotics, at first it was 10 days then extended 4 more days. Although they handed me some documents they received on the 11th from my insurance denying treatment. So now I had to call my insurance to discover they failed to submit proper documentation. Tonight I lay here in pain and was info

I experienced great care while at recovery from hip replacement in 2023 @ Sharp Birch Patrick. Caring and living staff were such a blessing. I am now experiencing multiple cancers & may need care. For my family and myself we are interested in some kind of nursing care at this facility for myself. Thank you at Sharp Birch Patrick for being there for me and my family.

A very dear friend of mine has been placed here after being in acute care at Sharp. 1., he should have never been moved and 2., his care here is less than satisfactory. We were told that there is 1 nurse for every 19 patients, really!!! Also, with regards to Sharp, he saw an osteopathic doctor, his primary care doctor was informed and in my opinion he needs to see a cardiologist at Sharp metro, not Chula Vista!!!

Just want to thank Birch Patrick for taking care of my mother while she was there..I miss her and I spent a lot of time there with my mom..she was and still is the inspiration of my life! I even made my mother birthday cards! I tried very hard to find us another home while she was there. My job was to help her as much as I could, that's what a good son does!
