Feel like I’ve finally found a great dentist office. Dr Nancy Xu is absolutely phenomenal. I feel so well taken care of with her. I had a very traumatic experience at a previous dental office (Swish), and Dr. Xu asked me questions about it so she could know what happened and how to reassure me. I truthfully would trust her with my life and I feel so safe and well taken care of in her chair. The dental assistants I saw were equally amazing; the level of friendless/small talk/genuine connections is something I have never experienced at a dentist. Front desk staff, especially Katelyn (sorry for the spelling) is wonderful and explains benefits and coverages great, gives a full workout of prices and does not hesitate to re-work prices after deciding which procedures to get or save for later. Everyone here is so pleasant and fantastic at their job! They made sure to explain everything throughly, didn't try to sell on things I didn't need done, and made sure that I was okay at all steps of the procedure. 10/10. Shout out to Dr. Granados, Kaitlyn, Shelby, Grace, and Dr. Lisa Ochoa!

NO. Get a 2nd opinion before you do anything. All of the poor reviews seem accurate--insurance fraud, lying to me, making me wait 45 minutes, dental assistants are literal children, X-ray machine broken, Tiffany was very rush rush & I am glad I did not commit monetarily. However, she did take the time, although it was obvious she did not have it--to explain THE LIE-that the Dr. did not explain about the crowns I DO NOT NEED. They were big on the guilt trip--blame the victim, while I'm paying 3X more for services I don't need. Just NO! After they LIED and told me I had periodontal disease, they said, "we can't do a healthy mouth cleaning"--like I'm a crack addict or something. Demeaning. So I left with dirty teeth & a 10k treatment plan. I went back to SNOW DENTAL & was treated very well. N

I went to this establishment a couple of months back to get a cleaning. The dentist, who was very sweet, informed me that I needed a crown and a potential root canal for one of my teeth and a filling for a chipped tooth. The potential bill came out to around $2200. I was urged to try to get this work done as soon as possible because my tooth could be rapidly decaying. This lead me to be riddled with anxiety for days, wondering how I was going to afford this procedure. I got a second opinion and it turned out I had some very minor decay below my filling. I paid $75 at another clinic and now my tooth is feeling fine. It’s unsettling to me that dentists will take such measures to gain money from patients. I needed to come in for an emergency procedure and the whole staff handled everything with such professionalism and kindness. I want to also highlight Vanity, Daniela and Dr. Atkinson. They did a great job, they kept asking if I was okay and did everything such efficiency. This was my first experience with Austin modern dentistry and I’ll definitely be coming back.
